Jerking video in DV-AVI to DVD / MPEG2 file makeing

My produced video does not play properly in standalone DVD player. The movie jerks, sound breaks. Sust like slow motion with very low fps.

I have tried with bitrate of 6000kbps, 3400kbps and 2000kbps. First I have captured from my camcorder and make DV-AVI file. Even first I have converted the DV-AVI file to MPEG2 at 8000kbps. Then I have converted it to 3400kbps.

    What may be the problem?

I'm sorry to keep asking, but just to make sure everything is completely clear, you are able to watch the rendered DVD on your computer, right?

Hmm. What is the orignal format of the Raw video, what resolution and frame rate? Can you try and render the sample video using the same workflow and see if the problem continues in this test DVD. Use a DVDRW so you wont waste media.
