    Re: convert 4.3 to 16.9

The simple answer is yes. Change the timeline settings in the timeline properties to the 16x9 preset, then rescale the clips in clip properties to fit the new format. You can either rescale them in the racks if you have not already placed them on the timeline or on the timeline itself. Don't forget when rescaling the clips you will lose some of the vertical material and you may have to use the 2-D editor to reposition the clips. In that case, you will not be able to use properties scaling but will have to scale in the editor itself. So, the simple answer is yes, but the amount of work required depends on the video material and what can be sacrificed to rescale them.

i own an panasonic ajd200 camcorder and it records in 4.3 and 16.9 but it is in anamorphic i believe.

Is this a the right format to film in or should i use the 4.3 settings.

The player can output 16.9 but i dont have it yet it comes on zaterday next week.ajd450e

Re: Betreft: Re: convert 4.3 to 16.9

If the camera records 16x9 anamorphic and you recorded in that format, then you should use the 16x9 preset for your sequence. That will give you the correcrt aspect ratio for your anamorphic material and you will not have to rescale anything. I thought you were trying to change 4x3 material to 16x9. That is different. Anamorphic means that the 16x9 material is squeezed into a 4x3 frame. Liquid will "unsqueeze" it when you put that material on a 16x9 timeline.

It sounds like LewS resolved your issue, but if you need to rescale on the timeline, here are a couple of Tutorials for filters which can do that.
