I just received my Studio HD Ultimate Collection version 14.

I have Windows 7  and also Windows XP Pro installed in the same PC. Can I install this application in both O/S without licence violations?

Will the passport number be different number for activation?

ISTR that according to the strict letter of the licence, you can only install on one "computer", but it isn't defined if that means multi-boot set-ups.

In practice, you will be able to do it. I have S14 running on two partions of a multi-boot setup. Two passports are generated, but it works.

There is further discussion about this somewhere...

OK - it is HERE and it just says "One computer" with no mention of Dual Boot.

However, the licence agreement is missing from the Studio 14 Help File.

I queried this with support when I saw the conditions on the trial version with the following reply

Description
For some years I have run Studio 8 and then Studio 10 as single installations on my computer. However I did notice that any installations were restricted to one computer but did not restrict the number of installations per computer. On downloading the S14 trial I notice that this has changed and the requirement is now one intallation per computer. I am in the situation where I have been running Windows 7 RC (and XP as dual boot) but have not been able to trial studio since S10 does not run on W7. I have both the release version of W7 and Studio 14 Ultimate Collection on preorder and should be getting them in about a week. I still have some issues with W7 (drivers etc) and will need to trial studio 14 on both W7 and XP in order to choose the best or fastest operating system. Initially, I can use both the downloaded and purchased versions (one on each OP) but I may subsequently, notwithstanding the licence restrictions, need to temporarily have two installations. This would not be a permanent arrrangement, merely until sufficient comparisons have been made between the two operating systems.

fidel47 - I've yet to encounter an issue with regenerating keys from diiferent passports tied to the same serial number - and I've done it dozens of times. I think the problems might start if you changed the email address to which the program is registered to as well
