Direct x 10 question

    Direct x 10 question

    Hi there

    I have a direct x 10 card and my system has direct x 9c installed. If I install the direct x 10 patch for AL7.2 do I first have to install direct x10 on my system(which is XP 32bit) and then install the patch or is this already in the patch?

    If you have Windows XP with SP2 or SP3 there should be no problem.  Just install the patch and you're good to go.

    No, you do not need DX10 installed to install the patch. The patch addresses video card hardware issues. You do need XP SP3 installed however for the patch to work correctly according to Munich.

    You couldn't install DirectX 10 on XP even if you wanted to. It requires Vista at a minimum. XP is Direct X 9 country only.
