    Video card X onboard video

I've been using Studio 9.4.3 for a long time for editing SD videos with good results (as per my evaluation). Since I use the onboard video system, I would like to know if a install a good dedicated video card (ex. Nvidia 9600GT, 512 or 1024MB) will I get any improvement in my videos (definition, sharpness, etc) played at a 40" Sony LCD TV or just a faster processing/rendering and better preview image? Thanks.

    No....

Probably, depending on what needs processing. The main advantage of a better video card is in the real-time preview of effects and transitions.

Aren't video memory needed for background rendering, capture and make movie?
