Studio v12.0 can deal with and open this AVI file

But v12.1 can not open it..Can any one help ??? 

This AVI file is 4 seconds length and about 800 MB Uncompressed alfa channel type use for PIP overlay.

Would it be possible for you to upload through mediafire or yousendit? I've been having trouble with rapidshare lately. The download always gets cut off.

Since you've had no response for a long-time now; i'd Re-install S12.1 Prog back to S12.0

Many Posters have reverted-back to S12.0, due to Problems with S12.1 (Including me).

I hope I am not too late to help you. I had this problem before with the AVI Files. What I did was delete the files next to the movie file you want to create (think it's stx and can't remember the otherone) just leave the main video and let studio 12.1 re-detect the video scenes and you will be able to use your AVI files again.

If no luck, just re-install studio 12 (you don't really need the patch 12.1 unless maybe you will be editing in HD or some other format. Good Luck.

Do you mean the SCN and Index files?

Yes, those are the files you want to delete (except your main video file). After you have deleted the scn and index files or any other files you may have after your main video file, open studio 12.1, open the avi file video you want corrected, double click on the video thumbnail of that file and let studio re-detect it again. You should be able to use it without any problems.

NOTE: Once you have this file with studio 12.1 and want to return back to studio 12.0, you will have to do this step again in order for it to work again. I don't know why but thats the way I found out after having too many problems with studio 12.1 and had to return back to 12.0. Good Luck

I already made a quick test on your file you had problems with and everything worked great for me (with studio 12.0) but had to re-make it into an AVI file again and store it in my AVI personal file I have. Should work too with Studio 12.1 (if not try an earlier version of studio and make it into an AVI File and use Studio 12.1 to detect video scenes)
