Just ignore me, I'm venting

I finally broke down to buy the 12 version. I was going to stick at 11 but the Gear Bundle with the upgrade to 12 Ultimate was a good offer.

So I place my order online with joy in my heart because the status showed everything in stock. I also got my sweetheart to order the same thing. So we wait, and wait, and wait...........

Email comes, oh joy, happy, happy it must be shipping. Wrong. Backorder. Even though we both purchased when it said everything is in stock.

No joy, happy, happy anymore.

There. I feel better now Time to crawl back into the cave.

Never bought anything from Amazon? 

So far have not been burned by either Amazon nor Newegg.

Never had a late delivery from any online service? Is that what you mean by "Burnt"? Just ask for your money back if they can't deliver.

It's not exactly as if Pinnacle staff had napalmed your entire farm, is it?

Yes, actually I do. I've only used Amazon (ca) for physical delivery of goods and have never had a problem. I've never had them reverse an "in stock" to "back order" ever. Ergo, my rant

It might be worth you cancelling your order for S12 & waiting to see what the new Avid/Pinnacle? Video Editing Prog; Nextgen/Studio?, has to offer.

If you like what you see & is in your price range, you might be able to Upgrade to that.

If you don't like what you see, you can shop-around for a Boxed version of S12, at a give-away price.

A discounted bird in the hand seems like a better deal than an unseen, silent, unpriced one that has yet to land in the bush.

Have you called the support or sales dept to maybe, just maybe, convert the disc version to a downloadable one? Maybe they could arrange something like that. Worth a try, me thinks.
