    Re: Generall MXF Question

MXF is a container standard so I've got to presume there's potentially many flavors. Take a look here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MXF.

    Re: Generall MXF Question

The following formats are supported for fuse and render in Liquid 7
    - I-frame MPEG 2 MXF
    - IPB MPEG2 MXF.

Basically a MXF file can contain any kind of information so the best way to find out if a file is supported, is simply get a sample and try it.

    Re: Generall MXF Question

So that means liquid doesn´t support xdcamhd mxf file with 1920x1080  it can work with ex3 transcoded mxf files!

is there any support for xdcamhd (which shoot mxf files in 1920x108) or is it again an dead end of liquid

    thanks manu

    Re: Generall MXF Question

There is limited XDCAM HD support on Liquid 7.2 with the use of xreceive. XDCAM EX is not supported. You might use the clipbrowser software from Sony to rewrap them.

    Re: Generall MXF Question

so this is again an dead end of liquid!

The only chance to get these files in is to transcode everything which is a p.... if you have an shoot with 6 cameras!

Will there be any support for that in the future or do we have to go to fcp or adobe .media comp.

    thanks in advance

by the way it doesn´t work to transcode the mxf from hdcam with sony ex browser! i use xilsoft

    cheers manu

    DropIn-Tv:

if you have an shoot with 6 cameras!

do we have to go to fcp or adobe .media comp.

Yes, I think that Media Composer, version 3,5x using the AMA is the correct way for you to go if you are using 6 XDcams for an edit
