Hello,
I had to take a commercial from 1 year ago and update it, its an annual event type spot. The original was the last spot I produced on Ol'blue and at the event last year I shot some new footage in HD. This years spot combined the two, SD from last year and new HD footage. The Timeline is a standard def DV timeline. the HD Clips brought in a scaled to fit both x-y the HD clips are 720 30p
The spot is very simple and contained a Logo at the head and tail with a RT Lens Flare effect. Everything plays back Perfectly on Liquid and on the Computer Monitor (ie Progressive scan) However, when I play the spot back on a TV (interlaced) the parts with the HD footage and lens flare go Crazy with this Flicker with Green hue.
At first i thought that it was a problem the Non-Intrelaced footage, so I FUSED the timeline, minus graphics and effecst to make a clean video layer that would be all Interlaced.
This did not work, same problem.
So next I removed the RT Lens flare effect and the problem was solved.
Why would the Lens Flare effect cause this problem with the HD-converted to SD footage???
this is on my Laptop Editor, running a Nvidia Quadro FX 1600m and the release service pack for Liquid 7.2
