Can't create Pinnacle Account w/o serial number

    Evening all

My SC 200 will be delivered sometime this week. I thought I'd log into the Pinnacle site and get ahead of myself by downloading quickstart guides and manuals and such like, but the site insists on having a serial number on the registration page. bum.

Oh well. I will lurk a little more around here. Meantime, heres a few dtails of my proposed setup.

PC is an Athlon 3200+ home built running WinXPP, router is a Linksys WRT54 GX but i rarely use the WLAN on it. Next to the (ancient CRT 21") TV is a network socket I put in when the old C+W broadband modem was built into the STB the used to run to where the router is. Now, the modem is a Virgin one and is here next to my PC, so I'm planning to use the existing cable to go from the router to the SC. (Are you following this?)

One or two minor niggles. The hard disk on the PC isn;t big enough for my collection of media which is on another PC (the one I'm typing on now) so until I get a nice big HD in there, I'll have to be selecttive about what I put on it.

    Best regards,

My SC200 arrived yesterday, so I've sorted it all out.

Now, I just need a bigger hard disk in the server PC, fix the LAN cable and start ripping my DVD's
