No, there is no way to capture to HDMI using Studio 12 at this point. Probably in the near future, through hdmi capable capture devices. (Sorry no ETA on these.)
What camera are you using? (exact model and make)
lizebeth32:Is it possible to transfer video in Studio 12 using a HD camcorder that has HDMI port to a computer that has a HDMI port and HDMI cord, or do you have to use USB 2.0 since there is no firewire port on the HD camcorder? Thanks
No. Even if Studio 12 supported HDMI (which it doesn't) the HDMI port on your computer is an output to drive an HDMI display. It cannot accept an input signal. Studio 12 accepts import via a USB2 connection.

This pretty much explains the basic reason why Studio can not capture from the HDMI port. The same thing is true in most TV-VCR combo. Although they are capturing via the Dazzle, most of this combo only have Video/Audio in ports so you can connect another VCR or Camcorder.
