Dolby Digital Audio codec and Studio v9.4.3

I'm still hanging on to v9.4.3 until I update my PC, but v9 is no longer supported, so I'm coming here for some help/advice.

My problem is my new camcorder uses Dolby Digital as the audio codec, and it appears I need an activation key to unlock the Dolby Digital, since I can't hear any video in my project.  Before I hand over $20.00 to Pinnancle, would someone be able to confrim this for me?  This is the blurb from the unlock pages:

    Advanced Codecs
    $19.96

Pinnacle Advanced Codec pack for Studio includes: DivX, Dolby Digital Consumer 2 Channel and Dolby Digital Creator 5.1 channel encoders and MP3 audio encoder

Most Audio in DVD movies are in Dolby 2 format. Studio installs the codec when you install the program. Activating the whole pack would have the same effect as activating Dolby 2 only.

I am also using Studio v9.4.3 and I cannot open the mpeg II file stored in my Sony Video Cam. How can you solve the problem. Is it really need to buy the advance codec pack online?

Yes, unless you use an external program to import your DVD.

Since the issue in this thread is regarding Studio 9, you may get better results by starting a new thread. Please post a new thread and provide to us in detail what exactly is happening with your S10?
