    Capture problem

I get about ten seconds of video captured and then it stops. Camera keeps playing, but when I go to edit theirs only about 10 sec of footage to work with.

    Re: Capture problem

Could you provide us more specifics with "265 G-force vid card"? With 768 of Ram I can't say for sure if you physically have 1GB with 256MB being eaten away by you graphics card. In the meantime, you could try and disable capture preview and auto scene detection to squeeze more performance from your machine.

    Sony Hi 8 Cam
Is this a digital8 camera? If not, what capture device are you using?

    Re: Capture problem

I think he's using firewire with his camera, Greg. But it is certainly not clear nor specified in the OP's post.

    Pentium 4 CPU 1.6

IMO, CPU looks to be "Marginal" to me, for Capture.

This is a resent development. This computer has captured before with no problem.

Was it from Studio 11 as well? Were capture preview and autoscence detection enabled at the time?

    Re: Capture problem

    Yes,

What is even stranger, I have 3 cameras in all. One is HD. It has captured the 16x9 footage before. I hate having to go though the activation process just for MPEG. I use the Magix program for that. I just need to capture digital Hi 8 footage like I use to be able to do. Never had this much trouble with versions 7 and 9.

    Re: Capture problem

    Let's try the following:

    1. Capture in MPEG format, using the three qualities. If this is not yet activated, send me a private message with your serial number and passport number.

    2. Try the AMCAPTURE in Tools.
