I bought the dazzle dvc 100 (the red one) and it came with instant dvd recorder, Studio 10 and the bonus disc. After much time searching for the drivers and updating the studio to 10.8 i finally got it to capture from my xbox 360 and even made some videos to put on youtube. The original computer i was using was a Windows Vista 32-bit. I have no ideo how it happened but one day when i wanted to capture the computer stopped calling the device Dazzle DVC 100 and started just calling it a usb device. Then later it wouldnt even capture anymore so i called up pinnacle and all they could do was tell me to redownload the drivers which i had already done multiple times. Over the summer i went to a friend of mines house who had the Black Dazzle capture card, i went to his house wondering if i could connect my capture card into his computer and get it to work sadly it was a failure and the computer only recognized it as a usb device and also and audio usb device.

This sounds like a faulty device. You should contact support again and explain that it fails in 2 computers. This sounds like a possible RMA if the device is within the limited warranty period.

its been about 4 months since i purchased it can i still return it?

We do have a procedure for replacing the device. Please contact support and tell them what you have done that isolated the issue to hardware failure.

Pinnacle gives a two year warranty on hardware.

thanks for the info i havent called support i dont have the reciept, box or manuals, i still have the Dazzle and installation dics will not having those things stop me from returning it?

I may be able to get the receipt through a debit card purchase history but im not sure.

Or you can look for the registered email address and check if you have any record of being able to register the product online.

You should contact support again and explain that the problem is not with the Xbox but with the device itself and that it fails on 2 different systems. That should up for RMA.
