ok i moved a while back and i lost my install discs but i had the software on my pc but my pc crashed forcing me to format the hard drive is there any way to use the dazzle without the software and i am not paying $15 to get new discs because i think there are better software options but i cant find them at the moment.

You can download the drivers HERE and it then might work with Windows Movie Maker?

Otherwise you could try AM Capture  which is free

If you have Windows Vista and you registered before, you may download our Studio 10 Vista installer. If you have Windows XP, go with jjn's suggestion.

movie maker says error for dazzle configuration or something like that

Uninstall the driver first. Restart without the Dazzle. Install the driver and another restart then connect the Dazzle.

Try the capture using AMCAPTURE software.
