    MPEG2 video converter problem

I am in the process of trying to convert my VHS tapes to CD's and after burning the cd and running it, at the start I get a message across the bottom of the screen saying "Please buy the Elecard MPEG2 Video Converter, trial period is expired. I wasn't even aware that I had ever tried a trial version of this and when I do a search I can't find Elecard installed so don't know why this message gets put on every SVCD I make.  I downloaded a program called Microsoft Windows XP video decoder checkup utility which tells you about the MPEG2 video decoders installed. I see Pinnacle MPEG2 decoder listed, however it says "This is not compatable with the synchronization feature of Media Player 10 so not to use" First off, I have Media Player 11 installed and wonder if I could get the Pinnacle converter to work if I went back to Media Player 9 or is there some other one I can use so I can make these cds without having that Expired message on my videos. I hope I am making this clear enough so that someone can help me. Thanks.
