Hi, I'm trying to upgrade from Studio 9.4.3 to V.11 using a bought disk.

The install wizard starts and here are the screens that show up:

1. Choose language....I click on "NEXT" button

2. Preparing setup...and bar goes up to 100%

3. Enter the following information to personalize your software...I enter the Serial Number (from the label printed on the disk folder starting with JBSKH - etc ) ...and klicked on "Remind me Later" button

4. Are you sure you do not want to register now? ....I click on "Remind me Later" button

5. I get the error message:  "The serial number is invalid. Please check the number printed on your registration card and try again. The installation will exit"

I tried this several times. I'm using the following machine:

Microsoft Windows XP
Home Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 2

Intel Pentium 4CPU 3.20GHz
3.19 GHz   1,00GB RAM

 Please advice how to proceed, thanks

At the risk of stating the obvious, there have been a couple of instances here recently where people with the same issue have been entering numbers - zero instead of O, 4 instead of A. My serial has no digits in it at all.

There have also been instances in the past where incorrect serial numbers have been generated, so you might want to check with support. 

And on the copy of S11 I piurchased the label printer obviously had a little bit of a jam when printing the serial number - one of the letters was badly printed and could have been one of several; by a process of trial-and-error I did actually find out which was the correct letter 

The Studio 11 "serial number" is always entirely composed of letters, so as jjn pointed out watch out for the mistake of typing a number where it is actually a letter... If that fails, contact Pinnacle tech. support by email; they should be able to sort out the serial number or issue you with a new valid one for your particular set of installation discs.
