    Lock video segment on timeline.

Is there any way to keep a portion of your video locked at a certain point on the time line? I am trying to have certain video lined up with the audio track and it seems like I should be able to lock it in place and then go back and fill in video in front of it.

If you applied something on the audio track under a certain point of your video, it should stay locked to your video track. If you add new video, the audio track should shift to the right the same amount.

There is no way to lock the tracks together. If you are having problems, you could render that part of your project to an .avi file, and replace that section of your project.

    Good point.

Before anything else, welcome to the forums jkovacs.

what towbar is suggesting is that you make short segments of your clips, render and then reimport.

Studio only allows locking of the whole video part or the audio part.

One person actually puts the segmented video to the overlay as temporary space instead of rendering and reimporting. Works good but not recommended.
