Pixie Folder, which one to reinstall software

    Hi,

I should have asked this before I reinstalled the software. I backed up one Pixie folder (with .dll and .exe file) in it. I thought that is what worked last time I reinstalled the software to get my activations keys immediately back. This time, after install, all of my activation keys were gone! I tried to regenerate, but it only regenerated a fraction of them.  Not sure why.

Which Pixie folder is the "important one" in either XP or Vista? I am hoping it is the one is made a backup of....Crying

    Thanks!

    Uh oh

    It is this one, right?

I think I backed up the wrong folder! Can someone please confirm that the special Pixie folder is the one listed in t link (XP) or here (Vista): C:\ProgramData\Pinnacle\Pixie?

    Hey Mark,

Can you comfirm that the complete path of the pixie folder, for Vista, is the same as for XP, so I can add it to "Hint".
XP has a pixie folder in Program Files/Pinnacle/yada yada, but that is NOT the one to backup.

I guess your last post (or two) confused me.

    Kayla,

The pixie folder is located here in Vista: C:\ProgramData\Pinnacle\Pixie. ProgramData is a hidden folder, just like the AppData folder is in XP.

I was in a bit of a crazed anguish when I wrote the lst post as nothing seemed to be working and I couldn't find my pixie folder that I thought I had backed up. Then I thought that I backed up the wrong one. Then I realized I had backed it up after all!

    Mark,

I'm glad you found Kayla's post that I pinned up.

    Kayla,

I'll be renaming your thread so its easier to find if for some reason one misses it as a pinned thread.
