how can I import jpg into hfx

I have a book cover in jpg format. I want to import it into HFX to place as the book cover on the wedding album to give it a real book look. I have been trying to do this but media import of course doesn't do jpg. I tried to use it as the host video also but didn't work. I maybe missing something here. If anyone knows how to do this can you please explain.

Convert the image to a bitmap or tga image with your image editing software and import that into HFX.

As far as I know, you can not change the cover of the wedding album. You have to add a new object that covers the front and follows the movement of the front.

A very time consuming approach. If somebody else knows a better way, I like to know too.

And BTW you can use JPG for video.

In Weddings 2, the covers for Photo Album Desktop 1, 2 and 3 allow the covers to be changed.  That's what I was referring to.

    You're completely right!

Just overlooked that one. You need indeed a BMP for importing as a cover.

I was playing with the Wedding Book 2. I wanted to have each page a different picture.

It turns out that when applying a picture to page number 6, this als modifies the picture for page 2. So a maximum of 5 different pages is possible.

This seems to be a bug.

Each page in the wedding book will have an object and an associated media placeholder (numbered media 3, Media 4, etc --1 and 2 are reserved for host video).  Look at the effect tree to see if pages 2 and 6 have the same media setting--this is the only way that a page could be changed as you say when the media placeholder is changed for a different page.  You can add additional pages as you wish by cloning the pages already there and setting the media placeholder to the correct image file.  If you have HFX PRO, you can save the modified FX for future use.

.PNG files can be used as well.

Re: how can I import jpg into hfx

The pages 2 and 6 are related to each other. If you change the settings for 2, you also change the settings for 6.

If you load the book, watch the name of the Mount Page 2 Small, you will see the name of the "video" is V06

Change that into V02 and you will see in Mount Page 6 Small, thgat name there is changed into V02.

This means, that Page 2 and 6 are incorrectly defined in the Effect. They can not be "separated" from each other, as far as I have tested.

I have delete Page 6 and made a new one from a clone (Page 5). Adjusted all parameters and that works OK.

See the modified Wedding Album here.

If your trying to add text try this, use your 3d letters and size/ position them. It's been a while since I have done this but I think I parented the letters and manually changed the size. you'll have to play with it but it works and looks really nice.
