    Promotional Video For Music Festival.

This was shot on a PD170 and cut on AL --90% is hand-held. http://www.kingfestmusic.com/video/kingfestsponsorship.wmv

The target audience is potential sponsors.

I love this.  Makes me want to go!  Love music festivals, and that one looks excellent.

Video has a nice documentary feel.  And from what I could hear, the captured audio is really good.  Wonder if you shouldn't put some music under the speakers/interviewees?  You could try extending the previous music under, or have it slowly fade out as speakers speak.  Just a flow issue.

Otherwise, you should get great mileage out of this in looking for supporters.  Love the habitat stuff.

Nice work, looks very professional. I have a PD 170 also. Its a great camera. I like it better then my XL2. Just wish it had true 16.9.

Great sugestion on flow..wish I had thought of it.  I'll be doing this again soon so I'll kep tat in mind.

The audio was an interesting challenge. It was picked up off the air by a lapel MIC in the audience, at the top of the hill, while the camera roamed about. The festival auio was superb so it was just a mtter of geting the MIC far enough away from the column amps so it didn't melt.

I was actualy there to tape an interview for Habitat and shot the rest on spec.

I have placed a much higher quality copy of the latest Fiona video (Fiona Returns to Antarctica) here. It can now be streamed.

    Hi mjolnarn and thank you.

I'm using Sorenson Squeeze, expensive but I think it's doing a great job.

    Re: Canoe Tour 2007

Good to have some more scandinavian users here, I am encoding vmw files directly from within liquid, using the VC1 codecs, I write my own codec profiles.

For all that, I need to have wmp 11 installed on my editing machine.

I mostly work with hd 1080, there are some vmw clips linked here from the forum if you are interested, mostly for testing the quality and how tos, the editing could have been better.

    regards / hälsningar

    Geir ~

Good stuff!  How about painting the bow of your canoe blue or something so it doesn't look like the beginning of 'Space Invaders', the video game?  It's a bit distracting, but really gorgeous scenes.

Geir... stunning visuals great music selection but I was hoping for some more.  I would have liked to have seen a bit more of a story... Who, What, When Where, Why?  Awaiting your next installment.

    Re: Canoe Tour 2007

    Thank you Andy.

Well, this was just a short from a 2 days tour I had last summer.

I only wish I had filmed something the sideway and not only in front - over the canoe tip :)

Here's another from the same trip, with English narration :)

Made for a competition last year, and in February to be shown on a festival in Colorado/USA.

Geir...  this is exactly what I was talking about.  There was a story line.  The birds weren't just moving pictures but characters.  I liked it very much.  Thanks for sharing.

Re: Son of Show your Liquid Stuff...

    Guys and Gals,
I havent posted a lot lately but I do get by here to read and look a lot. I recently had the privilage to interview a WWII B-17 Pilot. His name is Captain Philip H. McDavid and he served with the 8th Air Force 359th Bomber Group.(BTW Andy he is from your home state of NC, Sanford to be exact)

Captian McDavid is not doing well as of today and your thoughts and prayers are appreciated.

I shot 2 hours and 45 minutes of footage using DV Rack and post processed everything with Ultra 2, I used Avid Liquid to put the final cilps together and it came out very nice.

This is .wmv and is a big file, run time is about 13 minutes, Enjoy!!!!!

    Geir,

Beautiful, sensitive work.  The colors of the sky at the opening and ending were spectacular.  Thanks for sharing--I really enjoyed it.

PS:  Thanks for using a tripod.  The shots were rock solid stable, making it so much easier to concentrate on the subject.

A short Holiday DVD filler from my trip to the Philippines.  Not for the squeamish or vegetarians amongst us.  Liquid with a little Boris.

Do Animals Dream Of Their Childhood?

This is a doc I made back @2002.

It's not suitable for all audiences but I think you could understand some things about how humans think.

It played at some festivals at Greece and abroad.
