    Hardware Acceleration - PSU 25

    Hi All,

Up until about an hour ago I was using (and enjoying) PSU 24 and it was smoking fast - while rendering if I checked the processes tab on the Task Manager it was always around 80-83% usage of the CPU.  Now - after installing v. 25U it's currently running around 22-24%.  Is there a setting I missed during the set up?  Is there a way I can speed it up as it's taking quite a while to render out a 30 minute video.   Thanx in advance...

    Mike

***UPDATE***    Well - I've discovered that when I do NOT apply any Effects (like cropping or Colour Correction) the rendering speed during 'Export' is fast as hell... but as SOON as I add the fx, it slows right down again

***UPDATE***  Well - I've also discovered that when I use JUST Image Correction CPU and deleted the PinP - it was just as slow but when I deleted Image Correction CPU and left the PinP it was fast as hell again

***UPDATE***  I discovered that even when have just ONE Effect on a clip - either PinP or ColorFast, as soon as I click Effects>Copy All the program crashes and shuts down...  I was thinking perhaps that it couldn't handle TWO fx effects on the same clip but it crashes when I try to copy just ONE effect.

***UPDATE***   Discovered that if I use NewBlue ColorFast and the PinP instead of Image Correction CPU the export rendering is a TON FASTER...   Image Correction CPU was the issue that was slowing down the export render.

The name of the effect is a clue there. CPU means it isn't using the graphics card (GPU) but the main processor (CPU). What happems if you use the Color corrections tab instead?
