Can I move the install files?

I just did a clean install of Windows 10 and put Studio 23 and Studio 24 back on. The installation files for each are now sitting on the desktop.

If I move those installation folders to an external drive, will I have any trouble installing any future updates? In other words, do updates use those installation files for anything?

You can move them safely wherever you want.

    Saby,

I bought a new SSD for Studio but am having difficulty getting Studio installed on that drive - it keeps installing on C drive (which is not the SSD) - I don't see anywhere where it gives me the option as to where I want the program installed... is this even possible?

Re: Re:Can I move the install files?

Corel strongly advises to install on C drive where Windows is present.

Assuming the SSD is big enough, you will get a much biggerr overall system boost if you can make the SSD the C: boot drive. Everything, including boot times for windows, will be much faster. It's far less important where the source and export files go (unless you are working with uncompressed video). You need a minimum of a 200 Gb SSD, IMHO.
