Has anyone tried these?

We want to play pinnacle made movies on our 12 year old tv. Samsung  LN40A630M1F.

Dont want to use a computer or dvds.

Any other ideas?

Ps tv is 5 feet off the ground. Nowhere to put laptop, but there is a shelf. 

We have not had success with the dongle things that send the video by air, wifi?

If the TV has a spare HDMI port - you could try using an Amazon Fire TV stick - and cast to it from a phone, tablet or Windows 10 laptop that supports mirroring what's on its display to an external device.
