i can put text, ovals and blocks in.

how do i put an arrow shape in?

it only seems to recognise jpgs which of course are blocks.

i made one psd and a gif.

You can enter ALT codes in the Title editor. Thes can be used to generate arrows (and much more).

Alternativly you can use the windows app Character Map. Here you can see all the characters avaialble, copy one and then paste it into the editor.
