PS 19 ultimate BR blank video during export

I am having a problem trying to burn a Blu-Ray disc in 1080/60i  I first tried doing 1080/60p but it would stop processing when it came to a video segment that was speed set to 94% or lower. I then switched to 1080/60i.   I see that the system is scanning the video clips and counting the frames and at some point, the video goes black for many frames and then comes back. Process repeats many times and is random. The burned disc is the same. It has blank video but there is sound.  I saw some comments about "CUDA" but do not know how to turn it off or even if I do have it.This is my first BR disc. Video content is 1 hour and 15 minutes and 21 seconds. System states there is 38 seconds left on the disc. I saw another comment that mentioned another person had to have 37 seconds available to burn a disc.

I tried that. It does appear to speed up the process a little but the problem still happens. Blank / black screens still occur in the video during the burn process.

Re: Re:PS 19 ultimate BR blank video during export

A patch is existing to fix this issue :

    • make backup copies of C: \ Program Files \ Pinnacle \ Studio 19 \ programs and C: \ Program Files \ Pinnacle \ Studio 19 \ plugins
    • download :  http://cdn.pinnaclesys.com/SupportFiles/Studio_19/Black_Preview_Fix/FixBlackFrameFor19.5.1_64bit.zip
    • unzip the file and you will end up with a programs folder and a plugins folder
    • copy / paste everything in the programs folder to C: \ Program Files \ Pinnacle \ Studio 19 \ programs. You will be asked if you want to replace existing files, answer Yes
    • copy / paste everything in the plugins folder to C: \ Program Files \ Pinnacle \ Studio 19 \ plugins. You will be asked if you want to replace existing files, answer Yes

Thanks for the info.   I will try this and reply back after I do it. I think my zip/unzip program is out-of-date and will have to purchase a new version.

If your OS doesn't natively support zip files, 7-zip is perfect for this job : https://www.7-zip.org/

Re: Re:PS 19 ultimate BR blank video during export

I purchased WinZip24 $29.99 on-line. I was able to follow your instructions (backup-download-unzip-copy/paste). Everything worked OK.  I ran the Pinnacle Studio Ultimate 19 video and burned a Blu-Ray disc at 1080/60i, 76 minutes without any problems.  It took about 26 hrs total to run and burn. If I had turned off CUDA it would have run faster.

Thanks so much for your help in fixing this problem.

Turning Cuda on can cause non-playable disc's to be created, so I would leave it off.
