Sharing collections tags etc between 2 computers

I'm trying to set up Studio 23 on my desktop and Studio 16 on my laptop, with the idea of working on video projects in 2 different places. Where are the Library files kept by Studio, so I can copy them from one computer to the other. The laptop will show media files not available,as they are on a different HDD, but I can re-link the necessary files. It's the tags and collections etc that I need to have the same.

Thanks in advance for any help

Have a look at the bottom of this page:

I'm not confident that Libraries are backwardly compatible (Studio 23 to 16) but they are forwardly compatible (16 to 23) so you might want to test that before doing too much work - that safest route would be to create the master library in 16.

If you were to install 23 on your laptop, it would automatically import the 16 library content, but not the metadata (Collections/tags/ratings) from 16.

Thanks for the reply. I'll try it. Currently I'm just trying to get Studio 16 working on the laptop with all my collections, tags and ratings etc showing. I haven't opened Studio 23 yet. Until 16 is working I don't want to lose all my current hard work

I’ve currently managed to get Studio 16 up and running on both computers. I’m now finishing my tagging and creating my collections on the laptop. Hopefully I’ll then import these into my desktop Studio 16 and somehow get them into Studio 23! Work in progress! I need to use my laptop as most of the work is done in free time away from home. Thanks for the help. Moving the local avid and pinnacle files was the solution. Hopefully just copying back them and overwriting the desktop will work.
