A quick howdy and update... Kudos on Liquid 7 project management.

Although I've got CS6, Vegas 12, MC5 as well as Edius on my system, I still revert to and use Liquid 7 on a regular basis.  In short, IMHO, there has been, and there is nothing like it available.

I've been working with a client on a ongoing project which covers over 600 bird species in North America for the past 10 years.  I set him up with  LE7 system early on for many reasons but the main reason being is that there is simply no other program that can handle the asset and project management as well as Liquid.  It knows where everything is, all of time.  Backup and recovery are spot on and it has by far the best incorporated and integrated DVD authoring tool available where you can set up several menus, each consisting of several pages and sub menus.

I wish that even just one of the newer programs I own would come close.  Sure they're great, sold and flexible but simply put, they're not Liquid.

BTW... hi to everyone.  It's been a while.

Don't you get problems with imported files?  Even when Liquid was current that was my biggest problem.  I had customers linking to XDCAM footage and then moving the project to a different machine and finding that Liquid was linking to the wrong footage.

Footage captured off tape was no problem and mostly you did not get this when not moving projects, but it was a big bugbear for people using Liquid.

I think Avid is the only program with decent media management these days and even that has problems because of footage linked by AMA (just like linking to footage with Liquid).   With the rest I pretty much have to do it myself.
