    Hi Tomas.

    Thanks for info Big Smile

Now that explains a lot why i get errors.

    I will try your method.

By the way, i'm using same app as you are testing. Like it much more than DVDIt PRO HD,,,,

I like them both, Dvdit Pro Hd is still a very good app for dvd creation although it, as Liquid, seems to be EOL, a replacement for 2500 $ has just been released, more info at the Roxio forum, there is a thread about a new Dvdit on it.

Now, don´t let us take Smets thread OT any more than what we already have done

Re: My first free Liquid tool!!!

I think the implications of higher quality using Smets codec naturally lead to the topic of Blu-Ray authoring.  If it is off-topic, can we continue that in another thread, and post a link here to the thread where this is discussed?

My main questions would be: what is the workflow using Liquid and Smets codec to make the highest quality Blu-Ray we can.  Two important cases: 1) source material is HDV, 2) source material is higher res such as from Sony EX1.  I'd like to see the use of Studio discussed in the workflow and other low-cost tools for getting the material out to Blu-Ray with minimum fancy features.  That naturally raises the question of what applications could accept fused output in Smets codec as input (I think).

    Regards,

     -SB

Have a look at this application. You can just fuse your Liquid timeline and use the fuse file to make your BD disc. Simple workflow. There is a free trial download. I have no personal experience but other Liquid users have highly recommended it. My guess is it will work fine with Smets' codecs.

If you are using Smets highspeed codecs you will also get those codecs in the fuse, that means that the file have to be reencoded when creating a bd disc from it using the TAW app.

A fuse from a standard Liquid HDV timeline will   "smartrender"   means that only the menu will render.
