Capture inlay not shoing video feed

The computer was not recognizing the probob

I have fixed that si I can now feed and external monitor on playback, and I can control the camera with the quick capture deck controler.

I cannot capture, nor do I see the video play in the inlay.

When I try to set the input for qucikcapture and selcct liquidpro, and the set the input for ieee1394, the settings change to S-video and displays the sony input vs lifuidpro option.

Looking for suggestions as to how I can resolve.

How many firewire ports do you have on your system, besides the one on the Pro BOB? If all you have is the one on the BOB, then there's something wrong with the drivers for the BOB and you should re-install the drivers.

Re: Capture inlay not shoing video feed

System is loaded with USB and fire-wire. 6 TB of external drives, two printers and photo stick ports, but they have been there all along - nothing changed there.

One possible is that a fire wire camrea was added to bypass BOB when BOB droped out, but still don't know why the systems droped BOB.

I am buying an all new system for Media composer and when thast online I may dump liqiud, or at least wie thos drie and do a new install of Liquid.

Try  this  go to Safely Remove Hardware & turn off the photo stick ports because they are on a USB port , which can cause conflicts,  I just got a new system & had this problem. I would turn off the printers & any thing else you dont need when editing.

Re: Capture inlay not showing video feed

That sounds like a reasonable option / possible cause - thanks for the help - all the more reason to isolate video production on a stand-alone machine. I just fired up a server-class machine with suitable specs and the right operating system, and will move Liquid to it, with nothing else on it or attached to it.

Will do the same with Media Composer on yet another machine.

     Thanks for the help.
