Canon HV40 - no firewire?

Canon HV40 - no firewire?

I was looking at the specs for the Canon HV40. I saw a USB terminal, full speed. But nothing that indicated that there would be a IEEF1394 connection.

If there is no firewire connection, is it possible to to connect the camera for caputre AND writing back to tape in Liquid?

The HV40 has a firewire, bidirectional port as does the 20 & 30
