I am frustrated by Liquid's inability to handle Sony disc based files. I ordered Studio 14 (Studio is the program that I cut my editing teeth on about 10 years ago). I loaded Studio 14 on a reasonably good computer and was delighted to be able to import and manage *.mts files from a Sony camera. Now I am considering uninstalling the program here and loading it on my main video editing computer that I use with Liquid Edition 7.2.  What will happen to Liquid if I do this?  Are the 2 programs compatible in the same machine?

Liquid and Studio share certain files. You can have them installed on the same system at the same time, but if you uninstall one then you have to re-install the other as the shared files get removed.

Thanks for the insight.  It seems to me that Studio is beginning to pass Liquid in many regards. What is up with that?  Are the still developing Liquid?

There are a number of reports that may indicate that S14 and Liquid 7.2 do not get along. If you are able to use S14 on another pc to import what you need. work that way until some positive results come in...
