"Error Opening Video File"

i keep getting this on every single video i have a cannot edit anything! it will not let me import. i have Pinnacle Studio Plus v10.8

Are you able to open the videos in another program such as Windows Media Player?

Sounds like your file extensions got changed somehow. Try to right click on the file and use Open with.

What format is the video you are trying to open in Studio?

Is it an avi, mpeg2 or what? this information would be handy as some formats are not compatible with Studio
