Take a look at Acronis Disk Director Suite.

Fully agree with Saylur, as i am doing some beta testing things " happens " sometimes, I had a major crash just yesterday that gave me a bluscreen after that windows had started up and all the autoprocedure was finished, that could have been a disaster some years ago and meant lots of work, now it took me 40 minutes to be up and running again using the 4 weeks old image of my bootdisc on my usb drive and Acronis 2009

I use Acronis software for years.

    1. Disk Director Suite for managing drives/partitions.

    2. TrueImage for making/restoring drive/partition images.

    Great software.

    Re: "C:\Program Files\PowerQuest\PartitionMagic 8.0\PMagic.exe"

By system is on a 500Gig drive, 4 partitions.  A short time ago I had too small a partition on the OS, C, mediocre sizes on D and E and a way too big partion on the final partion..... Backed up everything on the drives with Acronis and deleted D, E, and K partitons, then rebooted with the Acronis boot up CD and reformated using desired partition sizes, then restored the info. Back up and tunning within an hour and a half with all information intact.

Now I'm in the process of attempting to install Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit upgrade to replace XP Pro 32.  During this process I have had MS tech support on line for several times for a total of many hours with no joy.  Following each of numerous aborted or failed installation sessions, Acronis has had me back up and running with my original XP OS in place with zero problems.

BTW... Microsoft has been extremely helpful and has ended up furnishing me with a full Windows 7 installation disc as a renewed avenue of installation.

My system is a full Intel Server workstation with dual quad and ECC memory built a year ago, chosen with the prospect of moving to 65 bit OS so the system should not be in question.

Anyway.... I cannot say more good about Acronis.  Excellent.

Also, on my Gateway laptop, using a combination of PCMover upgrade assist and clean install of Windows 7 had me up and running with all programs back in place without missing a beat.

I'll keep you posted on the Desktop workstation.

     Later,

    Andy
