Hello i just bought  the pinnacle video capture card for mac and was using it on a standard def platform. i just recently bought a hd tv. Is it possible for me to use this for a hd tv. if so what cable should i buy. My tv only has red green blue outputs.

Also i need to know how to make the videos to not save as mp4 and make them save as something else because i dont want to render

everything i capture in final cut pro.

I'm afraid you're out of luck.  The PVT only accepts standard-definition composite or S-Video.  It won't work with raw RGB.

 Also, mp4 is the only file type available.  You can't set it to anything else.

What are you trying to do that require re-renering with FC?

Are you sure that the RGB connectors are outputs?

 Not saying they aren't, just that it would be a rather unusual case.  Most new TV's have RGB in, but out is a different matter.

Encoding raw RGB isn't something that most people would need to do and it gets kind of pricey to deal with so RGB-out is, as far as I know, not usually an option.
