not sold on video transfer yet & viewing while coverting

seeing some of the problems that have been posted I am not sold on purchasing a PVTransfer unit yet, soley for vcr video tape covertion. Look like it will take quite a lot of experimentation in settings, but thats is expected. would like though to be able to see what is being transfered, can one run from the vcr our and then to both a tv and the pinnacle box so one can see what is being recorded to know when to turn it off? ex. say 4 one hour tv shows in a row and want separatte files, or do you just set it and watch the clock?

You express an interesting resistance to the PVT, but I believe it is rather unfounded.  Most VCRs, in fact all I've ever used, have at least two outputs active simultaneously.  For example, I usually hook my PVT to my VCR via the S-video connection, and this leaves at least one compostite to send to the TV to view while recording.  Even the cheapest VCR will usually have a single composite output, hook this to the PVT and then view the VCR output via the RF connector of the VCR.  No clock watching required.
