What Version of Studio?

And when you re-launch Studio, do you get a "Pop-Up" Message, stating that Studio has closed unexpectedly, what do you wanr to do? & giving you 3 options? If "yes", which option do you choose?

You need to give details of exactly what you have in the TimeLine, by way of Video & Images. Their Source,  File Type & Size..

The video type is AVI and the image type is BMP.  I get them from my external hard drive.  The size of the video is 13.4 GB and the photos put together are about 11 MB.  I get the pop up

To determine whether or not your PC's Hardware specs are sufficient for Running S12. Thanks

In the meantime:

1) Defragment your HDD

2) In Edit Tab, go to: File / Delete Auxilliary Files (For All Prpojects). Try Opening your Project

3) Instead of Opening your own Project, Open S12 Sample Project "OurFunVacation". To test.

4) Import S12 Sample Video "OurFunVacation" from your "Shared Video" Folder. Drop that into TimeLine. Don't Edit it. Just save it. Exit studio. Launch studio & Open that. To test.

Post-back results of 3) & 4)

Your PC Hardware Spec is sufficient for Running S12 & Editing with Standard Definition Video, apart from your Video Card which might be below par for Running S12 Standard & Plus, but won't be sufficient for Running S12 Ultimate Plugins. HERE'S. a Review of that card.

Are you sure that your Video Card is only 32MB? Go to: Start / Run & enter dxdiag / Display Tab / approx Total Memory ? . Pinnacle's Minimum Spec for SD Video is 64MB, Recommended; 128MB. In practice, 128MB should be considered as Minimum.. Looks like you're going to have to Upgrade your Video Card to ar least 256MB forS12U (500MB would be better).

I'm not sure if your Video Card has any bearing upon that. However, since you're possibly going to have to Upgrade it anyway, doing that first might fix it .

There are a few Threads & possibly one pinned, for best Video Cards for S12.

Hi!  Sorry for the late response.  I changed my graphics card to a GALAXY GeForce 9600GT and it works.  My computer doesn't shut down anymore when I open Pinnacle Studio 12.  Thank you very much for your advice!
