Would this be a fair deal for 300 dollars?

Does the breakout box need an aja card?

This is not the Chrome Xe, this is ChromeHD with the Cinewave board. They sell it with the small SDI box, you do not need the aja box, this is another product. Looks a pretty good deal!

Thanks, I already pulled the trigger on the software only for $99.  I have the BOB and have never used it so I figured that I might just be flushing $200 on something else I'll never use.  Where can I find a list of the additional benefits of Chrome Xe over Regular liquid.

Concerning the Liquid software you don't notice a difference between Chrome XE 7.21 and Liquid 7.21. Chrome XE enables you to input and output video signals like CVBS / YC / YUV / SDI / HD-SDI. If you have only the Liquid software then you can use bring in / out your material using IEEE1394 or as files.
