Hi,

I have a Pinnacle Showcenter 1000g and I've used it fine for several years but recently started having this issue. My Windows installation is only a few months old and it had been working fine up till now. When I try to import files with Pinnacle MediaManager they are all rejected with error "Unknown filetype". The problem is fixed by restarting the service MSSQL$PINNACLESYS. Does anyone know how I can fix this so that I don't have to do this each time I want to import new media?

I have the latest software and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

Did you ever get any help with this problem.  I just started having the same problem and have tried numerous things, reloading the software, etc.

i have a similar problem. Some of my mp3 files work, others are rejected. I tried to reencode, because the files were encoded in VBR. Nothing helped.

Does anyone have an idea?

I have a Pinncacle ShowCenter 200. After re-installing the software, I now have the same problem with Pinnacle MediaManager rejecting .mpg files with error " Unknown file type" .  These files were previously imported successfuly. 

Anyone have any suggestions please.
