    Scheduled recordings

    Hello,

Not sure if I'm posting in the correct forum.  Any help is appreciated.

I'm using a Pinnacle HD TV PCI card to view and record "off-the-airwaves".  I'm on an XP machine and using TVCenter Pro.  So I schedule some recordings, shut the machine down, and lo and behold, nothing happens.  Am I missing something?  Is TVCenter really not capable of waking up the machine to make a scheduled recording?  This is not difficult.  I can write an app myself that will wake up the machine to perform a task.  Which leads to my next question.  If TVCenter is really not capable of waking up the machine, is there a way to programmatically determine the recording schedule?  Is the schedule stored in a file somewhere?

     Thanks!

    Re: Scheduled recordings

This webboard no longer provides support for the PCTV line, or TVCenter Pro. Your best bet is to try emailing support@pctvsystems.com and see if they can get you moving in the right direction.

FWIW:  I was never able to get the computer to "wake up" using TVCenter Pro.  In fact, I had a heck of a time getting it to come off of standby to record...basically, if I shut off most of the power management, I *might* get a decent recording, but if the computer shut down/suspended/whatever, I never did get anything recorded.
