After reinstalling Windows XP Professional SP3 my computer I cannot install Showcenter 200 anymore.

The installer stops when trying to install MSDE (local database) around 3-5 seconds before finishing. No warning message, no error, nothing. It just stops doing nothing. I tried to install it now for abour 20 times and never succeeded. I also tried to install MSDE by downloading from the microsoft website and followed all the instructions. same problem. the installer stops 3-5 seconds before finishing.

any suggestions how to fix that problem?

I've had the same problem. Even after personal contact with the helpdesk it didn't go away.

After some research I switched to another serverprogram: Twonky media manager. I'm very pleased with it.
