Hey, I've got an Ultimate device that I purchased last year at some point. I haven't used it in a long time, but tried plugging it in today to watch some television. I plugged it in, tried to switch to a channel and got nothing but a black screen and a high-pitched beep. So, I switched to another analog channel and had the same result. In fact, I had that problem no matter what channel I tried. Thus, I pulled up the settings window and had it rescan the channels. It almost immediately returned with an error and just hung there for a while. I had no other option to click, but the Stop button, so I did. Immediately an error appeared and the program crashed immediately after I clicked ok.

I looked through a few tech support threads on these forums and found that many of the threads with odd problems pointed to the Recovery Pack/Update at
http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/us/Products/Consumer+Products/PCTV+Tuners/PCTV+Flash_TV+Stick/PCTV+HD+Ultimate+Stick+Support/Download+Area/Drivers+-+Updates/TVC498_880e.htm?mode=documents&Display=1
I downloaded this tool, properly installed it and it started up the TVCenter software again. Again, when it scanned for channels, it didn't find any and immediately showed error text, and the program crashed when I attempted to stop the scan.

It doesn't look like I'll be watching much tv tonight.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!
