How do I capture video at 60 fps?

Hello all. I'd like to know how to capture video at 60 fps, instead of 30 fps. It's locked at 30 fps no matter what format (AVI, Mpeg2) I change it to in the advanced settings. And yes, I recorded the video at 60i. ...The same thing applies to Windows Movie Maker... Any help would be hugely appreciated.

    60i is 30fps.

You would need a camera capable of shooting at 60fps. This rate is effectively a slow motion rate (i.e. the frame rate is twice the normal speed) and you thus require a camera with variable frame rate capability. 60i is interlaced footage, and two fields are combined to give 1 frame - hence 60i = 30fps

Ok. When adding the slow-mo effect to the video footage, the quality shows to be ugly. Is this caused by video at 30 fps? I figured it wouldn't be ugly at 60 fps.

60i is recording more information than 30p maybe not by itself but when you de-interlace the 60i footage correctly using a 3rd party application, you can get 60p.  If you don't plan to do this, just film in 30p.
