    NAS and ShowCenter 250HD?

I would like to be able to stream movies and music from a network storage even when my computer isn't running. Is it possible to set up the ShowCenter 250HD to communicate with a NAS (network storage)? The NAS does not have a real operating system (just like the SC).

We have not tested ShowCenter with any NAS Storage Device. If the NAS device fulfills all necessary requirements as a full UPNP server, it should work the same way as Mediaplayer or any other pc-UPNP server software.

    Re: NAS and ShowCenter 250HD?

I am running the SC 250 HD with my mediafiles on a Buffalo Terastation Live (4Tb NAS); this is working plug and play; I am looking for possibilities to add extra information to the server database and re-arrange movies etc. outside the folder structure, but so far so good...

Very fast and reliable storage. I've several Terastations, Terastations Pro, Pro II and Live and they have never let me down for a single minute.

I have tried my SC200 with NAS systems such as Lacie, Infrant Ready NAS (both running Twonky) , Linux based Media Tomb PC's, etc and have maged to stream DVD .vob files ripped with DVD shrink and AC3 Dolby 5.1 sound with no issues (other than Beta software Lip-sync issues Crying

I cannot see my QNAP TS-209Pro running Twonky on my Showcenter 200, maybe because I am new to this?  I can see my PC no problem, but not my NAS, any help would be appreciated.

The showcenter 250 works perfectly with my QNAP TS-109 with TwonkyVision running on that NAS

This is more likely to be a DVD Shrink issue than something to do with the SC200. If you play the big VOB on the PC is the lipsync OK?

    Re: NAS and ShowCenter 250HD?

Hi, all my movies are ripped to one big .vob (i.e. LOR is around 6Gb).

What I seem to get is a 'fast-forward' motion follwed by lip-sync probelems. If I pause and restart the syn is back to normal.

I have also had these issues with DVD decryptor.
