After recording to MPEG-4 i'm able to view the file fine in the TVCenter Pro player, but the files don't seem to work properly in Quicktime or iTunes. They come out looking all pixilated and bizarre. Is this a known issue?

 

Running:

Windows XP SP2

Intel P4 2.8 Gz
1GB Ram
Radeon 9600 128 RAM
PCTV HD PCI 800i (4.98.1903) with Digital Cable

iTunes 8, Quicktime 7.5.5

 

is the right codec installed for these applications?

Can you try using an other player, like VLC (videolan.org)?

Which settings for recording did you make exactly?

Could you try, if the files playback ok with VLC?

I recorded under the iPod Hi Res setting. It does seem to playback fine with VLC. Any idea why quicktime wouldn't work?

since Quicktime should have this codec, maybe some other applications installed similar codecs (or do you use a codec pack?) which confuses playback in Quicktime.
