I bought my showcenter two years ago and last autumn it just died on me, wouldn't power on at all. I sent it back to pinnacle and they 'fixed' it for me, unfortunately when they sent it back I was off travelling, so I asked my Mum to check that it worked and she managed to power it on - that's about as technical as she gets. Anyway, now that I am back and have tried to set it up again I cannot get it to connect to the media server. When you power it on, the green and orange lights come on and the screen goes gray. Then after 5 seconds, I just get white noise - so press the TV button until it shows up on screen again with the normal menu(I have to do this everytime it is powered off, which I didn't have to do before). In the options menu I have ticked the box to show UPnP servers, and have tried to add the server manually with the server address 192.168.1.2:8000. I know this is working as I can connect to it via another laptop. I checked the settings on my router and everything seems to be ok, then noticed on the list of attached devices there wasn't anything that was the showcenter. I checked the cable was working fine with my laptop, so that's not the issue. The green light comes on when you plug in the ethernet cable. I then tried to connect to the router via wireless and although it can find my network no problem, doesn't seem to want to obtain an IP address from the router. Does anyone have any ideas what I am doing wrong or is the showcenter just dead?
