I've used recently a new player, named VLC media player. (www.videolan.org/vlc/) and I notice that my cpu usage is the following :

1)when using tv tunner with pinnacle is ~20%

2)when using tv tunner with VLC is ~4%

My computer is a dell, core duo 1700mhz , 1G RAM. Can someone from pinnacle tell me why is so big this difference ? The VLC programmers are so good compared with the pinnacle?

Also, when using pinnacle I get all kind of errors, exceptions (unhandled).Sometimes when shutting down windows I see a blue screen which says about some IRQ problem.
