Apparently Vista does a piss poor job of uninstalling programs.  Even with the "registry delete" program that they suggest that you download and use prior to reinstallation, I was unable to uninstall ,with an error message stating that the "setupexe. had stopped working ". When I tried to reinstall, I would get a message saying that "the install wizard has finished performing maintanence operations on studio 11" then shut down without installing the program. The solution for me was to download a program called "Smarty Uninstaller". After running this program I was able to successfully reinstall Studio 11 plus and the rest of the S11Ultimate upgrade.

does the trial version of this do the job, or do you have to buy the full version? I've been caught out with many of these programs where you end up paying money for something because it's been recomended. only to find it is piss poor itself.

you have nothing to do with the Smarty people?

The trial version is what I used, you get a 15 day trial version.  I have nothing to do with the "Smarty People" and I don`t usually pimp software, but this cleared up a problem that occured a couple of weeks ago.
