Extended warranty I agree can be a crapshoot. But if you buy expensive gear with expensive parts it can be good insurance and can help protect your investment. My last PC I bought three year extended warranty and with a month left on it my expensive FX 3400 video card failed. It was replaced within a week. I get extended warranty on my autos and never regretted it.
